Just as our name suggests, the campsite De Blikvaart’ is located directly at the water. De Blikvaart is part of the famous ice skating route ‘Elfsteden’. Here you can freely swim, fish and sail.
Sail and Swimming
The Elfstedenroute is a very beautiful route to try during your holiday. You are allowed to bring your own boat, you can launch it from the slipway on our harbor. We even rent out motor boats. 500 meters from here, you can rent canoes as well. You can enjoy swimming in the harbor of De Blikvaart. Especially kids are entertained for hours, with their inflatable boats, airbeds and balls.
Fishing
Friesland is one of the best spots of The Netherlands to go fishing. Near De Blikvaart, there are many beautiful fishing places to be found. From the shore, from a boat or from your tent you can fish for eel, carp and pike fish. Frequently, huge fish are caught. In the meadows next to the campsite, there are two excavated trout ponds where you can fish for trout fishes!
