Camping with the farmer

Until recently, De Blikvaart was a farmer’s company with sheep and milk cows. Nowadays, you can still enjoy the farm, the stalls, some young cattle and ponies. Due to of the beautiful location of our farm there is plenty of tranquility and space. More and more people discover the charms of camping at a farmer’s campsite.

Taste the atmosphere of the vast Frisian countryside and enjoy the infinite panoramas during your holiday/stay. You can go on some delightful cycling, walking and boat excursions in the immediate surroundings. From the Blikvaart you can also go on an excursion to the Frisian Islands.

Children’s fun at the farmer’s campsite

The farm is located in a spacious area. Kids can play as much as they like. For example, your kids could ride a pony or take a ride with the tractor through the meadows. Also our trampolines, go-karts, the sandbox and swimming are kids’ favorites.

Camping directly along Friesland’s water ‘De Blikvaart’

The campsite is directly along the water De Blikvaart. De Blikvaart is part of the famous ice skating route ‘Elfsteden’. It is a very beautiful route to try during your holiday. You are allowed to bring your own boat, you can launch it from the slipway on our harbor. We even rent out motor boats.

Friesland is one of the best spots of The Netherlands to go fishing. Near De Blikvaart, there are many beautiful fishing places to be found.
From the shore, from a boat or from your tent you can fish for eel, carp and pike fish. Frequently, huge fish are caught. In the meadows next to the campsite, there are two excavated trout ponds where you can fish for trout fishes!
